Anglian Building Products (Anglian) has been appointed by Knightstone Housing to undertake work to replace windows and doors as part of a major, multi-million pounds investment by the housing association.

Over the next five years Anglian will supply and fit new doors and windows to residents homes in the west of the country. With an opportunity to extend the contract to ten years.

When putting the tender requirements together, Knightstone worked closely with their residents to ensure they found the right contractors for the job. Supporting evidence for the tender had to include a proven track record in delivering exceptional products and services.

Anglian passed a rigorous selection programme, which included interviews and site visits with Knightstone’s staff and residents and they had to prove their commitment to local communities evidencing apprenticeship employment and training and other social values to mirror Knightstone’s high standards.

The contract will commence June 2014 and runs for an initial period of five years.

‘These are five year contracts with an opportunity to extend to ten years, meaning our contractors can really invest in their services and provide consistency to residents in the long term’

Mark Beard, Director of Customer and Community Operations at Knightstone

‘We are delighted to be appointed as the sole window and door contractor for Knightstone Housing. This contract will see us integrating IT systems providing the client with real-time project information’
