Glasgow Housing Association, Saltmarket, Scotland - Timber Windows

Anglian have worked directly with GHA on many projects over the past three years, however, the Saltmarket window replacement project has been one of the most challenging and equally rewarding. The works were undertaken to 162 properties in 3, 4 and 5 storey high buildings in the busy Saltmarket Conservation Area of the city.

The design brief was to provide a solution that improved security, thermal insulation and minimised future maintenance whilst being in-keeping with the sensitive surroundings.

The timber vertical slider windows installed closely matched the original features. Before we could start however we undertook a pilot scheme to gain formal approval from the planners and Historic Scotland.
