Anglian Building Products have been awarded the first ever window replacement contract by MODern Housing Solutions - a purpose built joint venture company comprising Carrillion plc, Enterprise plc and Atkins plc.

The company was specifically constructed to deliver the maintenance and refurbishment of 44,000 Service Family  accommodation homes as a core part of the programme to improve married living quarters for military personnel throughout the UK.

After thorough discussions with our partners, Enterprise Managed Services and MODern Housing Solutions to ensure that the appropriate quality standards and MOD security conditions were met,the project moved on-site in February 2007.

A Site Specific Waste Minimisation Plan was put into operation as part of Anglian's commitment to environmental sustainability and re-cycling. Roger Notley our Contract Manager reports that 14.5 tonnes of material, including glass, wood, PVCu trim offcuts, steel hardware and general waste were successfully recycled in support of MODern Housing Solutions key performance indicators (kpi) and Defence Estates criteria.
