Tenement blocks in North Shettleston have benefited from a smart facelift following the installation of external wall insulation and double glazed PVC-u windows.

Anglian were proud to work for Lovell Partnership and Shettleston Housing Association in an integrated team focused on minimising tenant disruption. The refurbishment package also included internal works with tenants enjoying new kitchens and bathrooms and an upgrade of digital TV aerials.

In total, Anglian replaced nearly a thousand PVC-u tilt and turn windows over a 5-week period with 5 Anglian installation teams working to a continuous programme.

Resident engagement was a high priority to all concerned, and resident liaison was undertaken with an open day and individual visits. All flats were occupied during the works.

“Anglian have become a key member of our supply chain. I have been particularly impressed with their responsiveness and quality of work.”

Shaun Bonner, Lovell

“Working together with dedicated teams from both Lovell and Anglian Windows, our improvement programme has made a major difference to our tenants’ homes. We are delighted that our programme was delivered on time with excellent levels of tenant satisfaction.”

Chris Cunningham, Director Shettleston Housing Association.
