Pre Start Meetings
All new contracts are subject to an on site pre start meeting to ensure all procedures and requirements are fully understood
Health and Safety
Anglian has its own Health and Safety team who are responsible for production of the necessary documentation before site activity commences and to carry our regular inspections to ensure requirements are complied with in relation to all regulations.
We are committed to maintaining the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of all other persons entering its premises – including sub contractors, clients, visitors and members of the public, by ensuring the identification, elimination and control of risks leading to a reduction in the likelihood of injury and illness.
In order to do this the Company will ensure that responsibilities for health, safety and welfare are properly assigned, accepted and fulfilled at all levels of the organisation.
So far as is reasonably practicable, the company will:
- Embed a health and safety culture throughout the organisation
- Ensure systems of work are safe and without risk to health
- Maintain machinery and equipment so as to be without risk to health
- Clearly define roles and responsibilities relevant to health and safety
- Consult with its employees on health and safety matters and actively encourage participation
- Provide its employees with occupational health support and guidance
- Comply with legal and other requirements
- Strive to continuously improve its safety performance
- Ensure the provision of an adequate level of training and instruction for all staff and commensurate with their roles and responsibilities.
- Measure performance against established safety targets and objectives
Employees will:
- Comply with the Company on all health and safety matters
- Adhere to the requirements of all health and safety policies and procedures
- Attend training sessions as and when required
- Not interfere with anything provided in the interest of health and safety – namely notices, signage, PPE etc
Management and supervision will ensure this policy is communicated and implemented throughout the organisation.
