Anglian Building Products has been awarded a new External Wall Insulation (EWI) contract with Norwich City Council. The contract was won through a mini-competition on Eastern Procurement’s Carbon Reduction Measures Framework.

The work, which is due to commence in September and complete in March 2017, will see 110 properties upgraded in the Mile Cross, West Earlham and Tuckswood areas of the City.

The properties are both semi-detached and terraced properties and are a mixture of solid wall and non-traditional British Steel Frame (BISF) construction. The PermaRock EWI system specified includes a flagship siliconeUltra finish over 60mm phenolic insulation board. New fascia, soffit and rainwater goods are being installed along with works to canopies.

‘Whilst Norwich City Council has been one of our largest window and door clients for many years, this will be the first EWI contract we have delivered for them and we are delighted to have been chosen. With the homes being on the doorstep of our head office, the need for site set-up is minimised, which will significantly reduce disruption to residents.’

Ross St Quintin, Head of Sales, ABP

NPS Group (a national organisation, delivering a comprehensive and flexible range of property services, tailored to meet the needs of both public and private sector clients across the UK) will manage the contract on behalf of the city council. NPS has been working in joint venture partnership with Norwich City Council since 2012.

‘We are pleased to work in partnership with Anglian Building Products on the delivery of ongoing capital improvements to Norwich City Council’s housing stock. Our relationship with Anglian has developed over a number of years, building mutual trust and appreciation through a shared focus for delivering a top class product and service to our council client.’
