Anglian Building Products install over 650 windows.

Emerson Park Academy was built in 1954 with industrial metal windows which over time had become both worn and draughty, making the school difficult and expensive to heat.

Following a direct enquiry by the school’s management team, the £320K contract was awarded to Anglian under the provision that we could deliver within the required time-frame.

Limited works began three weekends in the run up to the Easter break; however, the bulk of the work got underway replacing the existing windows with white PVC-u units over the Easter Bank holiday weekend and ran for a period of two weeks.

Anglian’s great depth of resources and strong project management skills ensured the project was completed on-time and within budget.

The project was funded by the Academies Capital Maintenance Fund which financially supports educational buildings that require significant refurbishment work and is managed by the Education Funding Agency.

Emerson Park Academy is a mixed comprehensive academy in Hornchurch, Essex for pupils aged 11 – 16 years.

‘It was a challenge to undertake the works during the limited period of time, however through the pulling together of resources, the work was completed to a high standard, without incident and to the overall satisfaction of the client’
