Anglian has been awarded an External Wall Insulation (EWI) contract by New Forest District Council. Worth £394,000, the work will also include the replacement of doors, windows and rainwater goods.

The project secured through a best value procurement exercise, will see the refurbishment of 19 Selleck Nicholls System built houses and bungalows in Marchwood, Hampshire. The non-traditional homes feature full height exposed aggregate concrete panels to the front and rear elevations with PVCu infill panels.

The EWI system is a mix of 1.5mm silicone ‘K’ finish or brick effect rendered finish with 90mm EpsiTherm (enhanced grey EPS) insulation board all supplied by Wetherby Building Systems. The project will include the design and installation of a supporting frame, onto which a backing board is fitted to receive the insulation.

To complete the makeover, Anglian White Knight PVCu windows will be fitted throughout the properties along with new composite doors, porch canopies and PVCu fascia, gutter and rainwater pipes.

‘We are delighted to have won this contract with New Forest District Council, it showcases the full range of products and services which Anglian can provide.’

James Quy, ABP Insulation Operations Director
