Fire door industry update – 4th February 2020

There have been significant challenges for many organisations involved in the fire doors market following the tragic events at Grenfell in June 2018.

Anglian Building Products are pleased to advise that following extensive design work and testing, we now supplying and installing FD30 Composite Fire Entrance Doors.

The FD30 fire rated entrance doors offered provide durability in use, low maintenance, great thermal performance, PAS 24 compliant security and essentially fully tested 30-minute fire resistance to BS 476-Part 20/22 for internal applications and EN16034 CE Mark for external applications. Fire tested from both sides and resistance to passage of smoke to EN 1634 Part 3 :2004.

The testing has all been carried out at a UKAS accredited test house, approved by Third Party Accreditations for the manufacturers process and furthermore carries a field of applications report, to ensure the product meets the exacting standards time after time.

Anglian Building Products installs in accordance with the FIRAS Installer Certification Scheme for the Installation of fire doors.

FIRAS is a voluntary third-party certification scheme for installation contractors of both passive and active fire protection systems. Operated by Warrington fire, FIRAS is a mark of endorsement of the competency in the installation of products and systems for achieving the protection required.

A FIRAS certificate of conformity is issued following the installation of each door set.
