Anglian Completes Watford Community Housing Trust Contract

07/10/2015

Anglian Building Products, the large project division of Anglian Windows has installed high energy efficient PVCu windows and GRP composite doors to over 400 traditional and non-traditional construction houses and flats within the Watford area.

Watford Community HT adopted a best value procurement approach and selected Anglian following a mini-competition under the LHC PVCu window framework. The LHC Consortium provides a range of OJEU compliance frameworks available for all public sector bodies.

The residents, who were provided with a choice of door designs and colours, were in occupation throughout the works and Anglian ensured that disruption was kept to an absolute minimum. The old windows which were first generation PVCu were segregated and recycled.

‘Anglian have been working with LHC members for many years and it was great to secure our first contract with Watford CHT.  The residents were delighted with their new windows and doors.’

Nigel Wardle, Regional Operations Director

Watford Community Housing Trust was established in 2007 following the transfer of housing stock from Watford Borough Council own and manage more than 4,700 homes in 20 community areas in Watford and Three Rivers District Council.
